Lycopene – A Phytochemical

Lycopene is a bright red phytochemical that is found in fruits and vegetables. While it is not an essential vitamin, it is a powerful antioxidant.

Lycopene is non-toxic and can be consumed in large amounts, although eating too much lycopene can give the skin a temporary red tint.

What is a phytochemical?
